Welcome to Waingroves Show!

We've recently had a brilliant weekend with Waingroves Show... with the weather just holding out long enough for us.

Show weekend was started off by our local band "Burn Notice" in fantastic style giving up plenty of variety with ZZ Top, Slade, My Chemical Romance, Lady Gaga, Blink 182 and many more! many thanks to the Community Association too who ran the bar for the Friday night.

Saturday is mainly dedicated to the Horticultural Show which was a brilliant success with over 760 exhibits! The bakery section was one of the best we've ever had with an explosion of cakes and scones. All the photos for the Horticultural Show are available on Facebook or on the photo gallery. The Thorn Tree Inn put on events all weekend too including a beer festival and bands and groups all weekend.

Sunday we had a great turnout on the School Field with arena displays from the Long Eaton Millitaires Marching Band, Zu Aerial, and J L Dance Academy who gave their first ever public performance with us.

The show weekend (and other events throughout the year) are brought to you by a small but hard working committee. We would welcome new members along. We meet at 8pm once a month on a Monday at the Thorn Tree Inn, Waingroves. If you would like more info then please get in touch.
