We've just had out 27th year of the village show and every year it gets bigger and better! This year we had one of our best turnouts for the Horticultural Show with over 700 exhibits and one of out best ever years for the home produce sections. We were also incredibly lucky with the weather; forecasts of rain and we get sun! It was a great weekend from the Friday night with our local band Burn Notice to the Sunday on the school field with our amazing displays from The Long Eaton Millitaires, Zu Aerial and especially JL Dance Acandemy who had their first public performance at Waingroves Show! We hope that everyone who went to the show, to any of the events over the weekend, had a brilliant time... and we hope to see you all again next year! |

Waingroves Show would also like to give thanks to the Coalfield's Regeneration Trust and their help with funding the Show. The Coalfield's Regeneration Trust (CRT) is an independent charity dedicated to to social and economic regeneration of Coalfield communities throughout the UK. Since it was established in 1999, the Trust has awarded grants of over £150m to over 1550 projects that have improved the quality of life in the UK's Coalfield's regions. However, the CRT is not just a grant making body. It also provides advice and support to community and voluntary organisations to help them confirm their eligability for funding, define their needs, create practical solutions, and seek funding from a variety of different sources.
